Padel has exploded. Courts are full, rackets keep getting more advanced, and more people than ever are serious about getting better. Yet when you look at how players train, one thing has barely changed: everyone practises with the same racket they play with.
We wanted a tool that makes practice harder in exactly one way, so that the game gets easier.
One change, nothing else
The JURO FOCUS™ is a padel training racket with a head cut down by half. Everything else is kept as close to a normal racket as possible: it weighs 350 g with a 238 mm balance and is 42 cm long, so your swing does not need to change. The only difference you feel is the size of the target.
That was the hardest part to get right. A small racket that feels like a toy teaches nothing. A small racket that swings like your own racket teaches you to meet the ball in the middle.
Built around the sweet spot
The face is designed to cover the sweet spot area of every common racket shape, whether you play with a round, teardrop or diamond racket. In the centre sits the JURO mark, a bracket reticle that gives your eyes something to track all the way to contact. Eight holes on a ring around it keep the face light and true.
A year in the making
The FOCUS™ took a year of development, and coaches and players tested it on court before launch. It is made from full carbon with an EVA foam core and a textured surface, designed in Denmark, and its design is registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Who it is for
Any player who wants cleaner contact. Club players can use it to fix the habit of hitting off-centre. Competitive players can use it to sharpen focus before a match. Coaches use it to give students instant, honest feedback on every ball.
It is not a replacement for your match racket. You warm up and drill with the FOCUS™, then switch back, and the face you play with suddenly feels bigger.
Train small. Play big.
That is the idea in four words. If you want to know more, start with what the sweet spot is, or go straight to the JURO FOCUS™.
